Created by dynamic duo Leigh and Dennis, this dream was born from their shared love for the humble Yorkshire pudding—an essential on Dennis’ dinner plate growing up in London and now a favourite in their home today. With Dennis originally just a quick train ride from Yorkshire and Leigh bringing an Aussie twist to the mix, they’ve taken this beloved classic and given it a delicious new spin!
Our journey began when we discovered a similar concept at the lively street markets of London, where eager customers were queuing around the block for these innovative stuffed and rolled Yorkies. At that moment, we realised that this unique product could create waves right here on the Gold Coast, and we just had to make it happen.
After raiding the piggy bank and finding the perfect spot at Nobbys, we poured our hearts into bringing The Yorkie Rippa to life. With both being accomplished Executive Chefs and Private Chefs, along with experience in Development Manager roles that helped Jamie Oliver establish his culinary empire in the UK, we knew we had the expertise to create something exceptional.
Now, after our first year, we're thrilled with the response! We’ve served countless Brits and locals, each leaving with a smile and a delightful “touch of home.” Our hybrid Yorkshire pudding wraps are taking the traditional roast dinner to new heights, and patrons are loving this fresh, innovative take on a classic.
